if you want to become a good project manager you should know the following 10 things which can have highly impact on your professional life.
1) Select a project which have good scope. Scope of a project is very important element.Do a good research on a project before select it. you should know that whether you can set a good scope of the project or not.
2) Revive the success continuously: if you own any responsibility you should be very proactive about the task you handle.you need to analyze your task and success factors contentiously. that is really important factor. You should set a success point and evaluate that contentiously.
3)Make a common goal: its is the most important factor to set a common goal and that goal should be to strive to achieve success.
4)Do the important task first: you should make a WBS (work breakdown structure) for the project and and divide the work as most important to less important and should work accordingly.If the task is most important that should be done early and if it is less important that should should later and quickly. You should not give more time to less important task.
5)Manage risk : If you are working on a task there is possibilities of risks, some of them could be controlled like protest by labor for their demand and any other political issue. But some of the risks come naturally like natural disasters. For that you should make pre-planned alternatives. you should prepare yourself accordingly at the beginning for that kind of possible risks and increase your critical skills to deal with risks.
6)Learn to cope with problems : If there are some problems occur you should prepare yourself for those. You should have strong dealing skills when things go wrong. You should face the problem with confidence and trust yourself to cope that problem.
7) Have regular team meetings: Meetings are very important if you are handling a big projects. You need to know up-to-date information about the project and you need to give suggestions to complete the project effectively.
8)Time management: To be a successful project manager in front of your client would be possible if you are a good time manager. If you complete the task within the time period and before the time the satisfaction level of client will be high that person can give best review about yourself which can make a good reputation
